Shawly Bowlers realized their aspiration when Ruel Perez displayed another remarkable performance that rubbed off on teammates Nestor Sanosa, Edison Arena, Arnel Bautista, Cloyd Opena and team leader Sally Sanosa as Shawly overhauled the lead of Ekis-4 lead and became the new league leader after the 16th session in the FEDBG Friday Morning Bowling League Invitational Meet at the Bowling City here.

Perez won his third Bowler of the Week award shooting the high series of 680 at the helm of Shawly.

The lefty Perez blasted scratch game of 217, slowed with 170 and exploded with 247 for 644 scratch total on 3-game average of 214.67.

Perez’s third individual plum is second only the haul of Zaldy Bacero at three.

Sanosa, Bautista, Arena, Opena and Sally rolled 659, 645, 619, 620 and 583 in support of Perez.

Shawly Bowlers recorded their fourth Team of the Week honors on 39 points boosting their running total to 450 with Ekis 14.5 points adrift at 435.5 after totaling 22 points this week thanks mainly to ladies Bowler of the Week Malou Gime.

Gime, in her most prolific session, topped the Ekis board with 641 on scratch of 533 and games of 148, 203 and 182. Eugene Delfin helped Gime with 592 while Ruben Grino, Faisal Relativo, Sol Cuenca and Alex Flora shared the rest of Ekis 3488 aggregate.

Sharing glory with Shawly Bowlers were Pin Rockers of Rudy Valenzuela, as the team captain himself led teammates to a second best production of 36 points.

Supported by Archie Santos 630, Nurissa Ramos 619, Romy Bunagan 616, Carling Constantino 609 and Andy Yumena 567, Pin Rockers totaled 399.5 points in fifth position, 34 points behind Silver Strikes (365.5) which in turn are 25 points behind Micah’s Pride ( 425).

Micah’s Pride sustained third place behind the leadership of Oca Bernabe who totaled 644 from 641 scratch including his 268 that gave him the jackpot prize of SR600 on a 274 game with handicap.

Providing support for Bernabe were Melvin Lising, Rolly Vistal, Renato Gonzales, Rey Feliciano and team captain Ester Santoc. Mica’s tallied 24 points on total pinfalls of 3470.

Mongoose BCT, JTC Keglers, Lane Aligner Squad and Silver Strikes gained 16, 14, 16 and 13 session points in that order.
