RIYADH: Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received players and board members of Altarf Sports Club, in the Eastern Province, led by Sami Aldaham, at KHC headquarters on Sunday.

Alwaleed and Aldaham discussed the latest updates of the club and its achievements. The prince stressed the need to support sports, the development of clubs, encourage the younger generation to hone its athletic skills and to invest their time in useful activities.

As a form of encouragement, Prince Alwaleed awarded SR 160,000 for the club’s budget. In response to the team’s request, Prince Alwaleed also donated a bus. This honor comes for their achievements in gymnastics, tennis and power lifting.

Aldaham thanked Prince Alwaleed for his support and his constant encouragement to clubs and sport federations in Saudi Arabia. The team presented a trophy to Alwaleed in recognition of his continued support to sports in the Kingdom.
