JEDDAH: RJ Tumbador enjoyed a game good enough to clinch Team of the Week honors and avoid a potential duck entering the last two months of the

Sarawat Superstores Thursday Bowling League 13th Season Bowling City in Sultanah Center.

It took all of 13 weeks for Tumbador to end its chase for the coveted award as it returned the top tally of 29 points.

The wait was well worth it, with Dylan Ilagan making it a Tumbador double when he rolled the high series of 703 to clinch the Bowler of the Week award on lines of 170, 257 and 255.

Tied two points back on 27 were league-leading Al Murjana and Habagat with AL Striker 7 points further back on 20.

D’ Barkads are alone in fifth place on 18 followed by Carling Sport Wear 17, BCT-Hokbi Fashion 16, Sawary Energy 15 and Magnolia Ice Cream 11.

With Ilagan at the forefront Tumbador accelerated after a slow start, going third-first in the last two games and posting the top overall output.

The trio of Pancho Cuevas, Ruben Grino and Joel Nidoy backed up Ilagan on 646, 629 and 611, while Tommy Kamal added 167-179 and Rommel Agbayani 167.

Murjana had the duo of Ruel Santoc and Jojie Manalansan taking charge on 679 and 650. Jay Bengco on 525 was the other player to complete a series for Murjana. Playing two games each were Elo Manalo 160-202, Archie Santos 198-180 and Rene Ocampo 208-191.

Over at Habagat Rommel Cagampang and Edu Toledo showed the way on 656 and 607 followed by Richard Antonio 595 while with two game apiece were Manny Tibay 154-212, Med Ramos 179-198 and Ver Jasa 170-159.

Bonnie Garcia paced AL on 667 to go with the 576 by Benjie Cils, 573 by Jack Jarin and 561 by Ally Bin. Gerry Lim had 171-157 and Cesar Pagtalunan 183.

Leading scorers at D’ Barkads were Rudy Valenzuela 647, Ed Sardiña 603 and Dan Ednave 595.
