D’ Barkads Team of the Week at Sarawat Superstores Thursday League

D’ Barkads were the only team to reach 30 points in tough scoring conditions and went on to claim their first Team of the Week award during the fifth session in the Sarawat Superstores Thursday Bowling League 13th Season at the Bowling City in Sultanah Center.
Unilever Arabia collected 28 points, well in front of league leading Habagat which could only muster 23 points after flirting with perfect 36 the previous week.
RJ Tumbador was two points further back on 21 followed by Al Murjana 20 while BCT-Hokbi Fashion and two-time defending champion Magnolia Ice Cream tied on 17 points. Carling Sport Wear and AL Striker also tied on 12 points.
Bash Langa of Unilever had the highest score among the only six players to cross 600-series. His 685 series with handicap gave him the Bowler of the Week accolade in the five-man team league event sponsored by Sarawat Superstores.
Leo Edejer shot 617 and Dan Ednave came through 612 at the head of D’ Barkads who rode a fast start going first-second in the first two games en route to the team honors.
Rudy Valenzuela was a pin shy of 600 and Bing Amolo had 553 as the two other bowlers to go the distance for D’ Barkads. Ladio Gonzales contributed 191-166 and Obie Ycasas made 170.
Along with Langa Jun Pamintuan topped the 600-series mark for Unilever on 616 while Alex Flora tallied 542 and Jimmy Urbano 536. The other scores were Jess Pineda 182-191 and Reggie Mendoza 182.
Over at Tumbador Rene Punzalan posted the top score of 614 that went with the 598 by Rommel Bayani, 570 by Dylan Ilagan, 518 by Rey Feliciano, 148-156 by Mark Punzalan and 164 by Joel Nidoy.
Jay Bengco and Jojie Manalansan carded 597 and 582 to lead Murjana that also drew 562 from Mhon Laxamana 554 from Rene Ocampo 172-152 from Ruel Santoc and 164 from Archie Santos.
Magnolia team captain Igna Salgado at 602 was the other bowler to score in the neighborhood of 600.
