ALJ Toyota Sequoia of Jimmy Abdullah Beltran defeated Safari 59-44 in the JBL Basketball Tournament at Bin Mafouz court on Tahlia St., Al Andalus District here.
Toyota Sequoia caught Safari flat footed in the final quarter with its run-and-gun offense. EJ Destresa collected 9 points for ALJ Toyota Sequoia and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game while Jeffrey Joseco chipped in 9 points for Safari.

Urban Design Group of Ariel Acedera beat Marhaba 68-67. It was a sorry loss for Marhaba as UDG managed to equalize the game at 67 all with 8 seconds remaining. Marhaba lost the ball in the next possession with Mico Lico converting his free throws for the win.
Ricky Reloj top-scored with 31 points for Urban Design Group and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Creencia had 21 points for Marhaba.
Uptown 966 of Halim Mezher scored back-to-back wins with a 60-49 triumph over Al Ettifaq.
Uptown 966 played good defense to halt the offense of Ettifaq in the fourth quarter. Albert Bandiola top-scored with 14 points for Uptown 966 and was adjudged as the Saudi Signs best player of the game while Infeliz scored 15 points for Al Ettifaq.
BM Originals Red of Mahmoud Quidlat beat Taqwa Brothers Green 84-64 in the JDC Inter-Color. BM Originals proved to be with the strongest lineup in the division.
Taqwa Brothers tried hard but BM Originals were unstoppable offensively. Omar Canoy scored 29 points for BM Originals Red and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Waleed led Taqwa with 19 points.
In a Thursday game, Jeddah Eagles of coach Hassan Zenoudine defeated ALJ Used Cars 61-57. Jeddah Eagles showed a lot of improvement in this tournament. ALJ Used Cars missed important shots in the end game.
Alwani Jamal scored 17 points for Jeddah Eagles and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Kelvoin Ray Llamado top-scored with 19 points for ALJ Used Cars.
El Khereji of Jojo beat Al Muhaidib 73-72. Al Muhaidib committed a crucial passing error with 8 seconds remaining and El Khereji was up by one point. Agustin had 20 points for El Khereji and was adjudged as the Arab News best player of the game while Gary Fadernal led e Al Muhaidib with 19 points
In other games, AVK Wild Boys of Jolli Tilo defeated ALJ Central Purchasing 76-70 and Saudia Avaition of Andrew Masongsong beat Saudi Diyar 71-60.
