Syed Wasey helps AGIC win Jotun Paints league title

Apna Ghar India Club got the better of Saliheen Cricket Club by 20 runs to lift the Jotun Cup Cricket League, title sponsored by Jotun Saudia and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Associaton.
AGIC made first use of the track after they won the toss and put up 211 for 4 in the allotted overs.
Syed A. Wasay was once again the architect of AGIC s victory as he scored an unbeaten 92 runs.
Zahid contributed 32 while Haroon hit a quick fire 32. Irfan, Qasim, Amer and Abdul Waheed took a wicket each for 38, 14, 25 and 44 runs respectively.
In reply, Saliheen started off briskly through Imran Butt , who smashed a quick 50 of only 26 balls, while Amjad batted stylishly for his off 39 deliveries. Abdul Waheed chipped in with 37 and Irfan used the long handle for his 17.
At one stage Saliheen were 191 for 3 but still fell short by 20 runs.
Sami was the most successful bowler as he took 2-45, Zahid had 1-27 runs.
Kumar Krishnan and Azam were the umpires in the final.
JPCC beat Pak Young by 7 wickets for the consolation cup. Pak Young scored 213 as Young Aman blazed with an exciting knock of 69 runs, Shabbir Khan got 27 and Takdeer Khatak made 32.
Anwar Malik claimed 3-46, Shafiq 2-39. Saleem and Ilyas had wicket each. In reply JPCC reached their target of 214 for the loss of 3 wickets only. Anwar Malik blasted his way to a match winning 74. Saleem 36 and Sameer 37 were the other run getters. Amanullah, Shabbir and Fazal Khatak had one wicket each.
