Tike Restaurant of Mali and Ali Sabra sponsored a sumptuous dinner for the Inter-MY Naghi Division basketball clinic participants ahead of the tournament opening next Thursday under the aegis of the 2012 JBL 2nd Conference Non-Rated Basketball Tournament at Bin Mahfouz basketball court in Andalus District here.
Tike Restaurant of Reynaldo Martos, Hyundai of Dennis Elmenzo, Fuddruckers of Elmer delos Reyes, Chilli’s of Nino Alfredo Villas, BMW of Rommel Jugo and United Naghi of Dante Caraan will battle for the MY Naghi Group basketball supremacy.
Saudi Diyar of Jeffrey Esperanza beat Aces 65-57. Saudi Diyar showed heart in the crucial 2 minutes of the game as Aces tried to reclaim the driver’s seat. Saudi Diyar went to the open man for an easy basket. Pelino and Manila each scored 13 points for Saudi Diyar and was adjudged as the Giordano Best Players of the game while Kanti had 19 points for Aces.

Saudia Catering of Macron Maycacayan defeated Jeddah Rockers 83-71. Saudia Catering’s run-and-gun offense was very effective in the final quarter as Jeddah Rockers committed crucial errors in the dying seconds. Hassan Makki dominated the shaded area and top-scored with 18 points for SACC and was adjudged as the Arab News Best Player while Villareal scored 24 points for Jeddah Rockers.
Mahmoud Gharib of Coach Elmer Tendero defeated Bradley Braves 63-53. Scores changed sides in the whole game. Mahmoud Gharib passed the ball well as Bradley Braves relaxed on their defense. Padilla had 22 points for Mahmoud Gharib and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player while Malit scored 19 points for Braves.
Al Muhaidib beat Red Sea Pirates 94-87. Al Muhaidib went to playing coach Pablo Viscayno in its last offensive plays. A pick-and-roll play was very effective in the dying seconds of the game for Al Muhaidib. Pablo scored 27 big points and was adjudged as the Saudi Sign Best Player while Maymay led Red Sea Pirates with 25.
Jeddah Dawah Center of coach Ali Lumanog bounced back from its last defeat and beat DHL 59-40. JDC Islam Brothers came in full force while DHL dressed only 6 players for the game. Morhaf Kattan top-scored with 15 points for JDC and was adjudged as Wael Sports Best Player while Rafael scored 20 points for DHL Express.
Rabya of coach Richard Sotto defeated Toyota ALJ 54-44. Rabya attacked the defensive wall of Toyota ALJ in the last 2 minutes of the game. Ramirez scored 12 points for Rabya and was adjudged as TFC Best Player while Paul Taguba had 19 points for Toyota ALJ.
Saudia Aviation of Andrew Masongsong beat MODA 82-73. Saudia Aviation dominated the rebounding department in the whole game. MODA’s usual running game was destroyed as coach Andrew did his homework to stop the offensive plays of MODA. Richard Velasquez led Saudia Aviation with 23 points and was adjudged as Arab News Best Player while Bertolano top-scored with 31 points for MODA.
Viagra Naghi of Reggie Santos remained in title contention as it defeated Laylati 68-33. Laylati, a new team on the block, tried its best but Viagra was too strong. Baniel had 16 points for Viagra and was adjudged as JBL Best Player while Al Ayash scored 13 points for Laylati.
