The Mayoralty of Madinah is ready to celebrate the Eid holiday this year with the Teebah’s 34th festival.

The celebration, which will begin on the first day of Eid, will be under the patronage of Prince Faisal bin Salman, governor of Madinah.

Khalid Tahir, mayor of Madinah, said the festival will be conducted at King Fahd garden, Al-Nakheel garden and Al-Aswaf garden, as well as other places. There will be activities across many shopping malls and festivities will be launched from King Fahd garden.

The festivities will include the launching of pavilions for popular traditional dishes, handicrafts, traditions and customs of the people of Madinah during Eid. There will also be an educational and entertainment programs for children of various ages. These activities will be conducted in the flower theater of King Fahd garden.

King Abd Al Aziz Public Library will show mobile libraries, as well as children’s songs from Madinah. More than 40 children will participate in these songs.

There will also be poetry reading, entertainment contests, plays and folklore and heritage shows.

Tahir said that there will be entertainment programs for women and children, which will be held in the tent of the capital city of culture next to the Meridein hotel.

These will contain many entertainment and educational pavilions. There will be a poetry reading evening for women, as well as a traditional poetry reading for women too.

The program will include a daily show at the female division of King Abd Al Aziz Public Library, which aims to enhance children’s education and artistic tastes through theater and short stories.

Tahir said that there will be a performance by Khalid Abd Ar Rahman, who will sing a traditional song entitled “Teebah is My Eid.”

About 120 members of various popular bands will participate in the show.
