Aims Bin Delamah thrashed SST Cricket Club by six wickets in a thrilling final to bag the Premier Division T20 Challenge Champions Trophy cricket tournament, organized the Eastern Province Cricket Association and sponsored by the Saudi Cricket Center, here last Friday.
SST, made first use of the pitch after winning the toss, put up 186 for 5 off 20 overs. Thanks to fine efforts from Farraz (47), Imran Farooqui (40) and Irfan Farooqui (29) runs.
In reply, Aims Bin Delamah reached their target of 187 in the penultimate over.
Waseem Malik was their hero as he blasted 86 off 45 balls. Asif Mugal gave him good support with a fine knock of 54 runs. Iftakhar was the best SST bowler as he claimed 2 for 42 off his four overs.
In the First Division T20 final, a fine all round performance by Mohammad Qasim enabled Pak Saudi rout Bin Delamah Adpco by 75 runs.
Batting first, Pak Saudi put on board 164 for 8 off their allotted 20 overs. Mohammad Qasim scored a quick-fire 38 runs. Faisal Abbas (30) and Shafiq Rahman (29) were the other contributors.
In reply, Bin Delamah was scuttled out for 88 off 10 overs. Thanks to deadly bowling by Mohammad Qasim ripped through the rival batting for his four wickets at the cost of only 18 runs.
Tariq and Shafiq also bowled superbly and claimed two wickets for 18 and 9 runs respectively.
