Al-Jasser calls for more trade with Germany

RIYADH: Minister of Planning & Economy Muhammad Al-Jasser has stressed the Kingdom's keen interest to bolster cooperation between the Kingdom and Germany in business, industrial and investment areas.
The minister made the statement at a reception given at his office to former German Minister of Economics and Technology Michael Glos yesterday.
Al-Jasser said that the Kingdom was keen to see more German investments in the Kingdom that would help raise the level of the bilateral trade and boost partnerships between private sector companies in both countries. The meeting also explored the level of trade exchange between the two countries, which is in favor of Germany, and discussed possible increase in Saudi exports to correct the imbalance.
The German official reaffirmed his country's keenness to promote its business and investment relations with the Kingdom, which he described as the most stable country in the Middle East.
He appreciated the good investment environment in the Kingdom and mega projects currently undertaken. He said the Kingdom is one of Germany's biggest trade partners in the world.
