JEDDAH, 7 January 2003 — Hilton International, one of the world’s well-known hotel brands, has received a prestigious regional accolade from a leading travel trade publication. Middle East Travel magazine has voted Jeddah Hilton as the city’s ‘best hotel’ in a regional travel and tourism survey. “We’re naturally very honored to receive this prestigious award and believe that we offer both business and leisure travelers the services they are looking for, which in turn guarantees our success and differentiates us from our competitors,” said Guy Epsom, regional director of sales and marketing, Hilton International, Arabian Peninsula. The Jeddah property, one of Hilton’s flagship hotels, was selected because of its excellent facilities and dedicated services for leisure and business travelers. The survey was conducted in the Kingdom, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco and Syria, in addition to many other European countries. Over 600 respondents participated in the survey, including senior management, decision-makers and executives who are seasoned travelers. The 414-room hotel, located on the fashionable north Corniche, features an impressive arcade lobby with palms, fountains, waterfalls and scenic lighting. The guestrooms offer a bright and tasteful color scheme, with private balconies. Its other features include a spa that is part of the Hiltonia Sports & Health Club, executive floor guestrooms and a dedicated lounge, three royal and 29 luxurious suites, and restaurants — Persian, American diner, roof-top, coffee shop and Vienna cafe, and 24-hour room service, aside from conference and exhibition facilities accommodating 2,500 guests in a congress hall.
