JEDDAH, 19 April 2003 — Cathay Pacific Airways has been voted ‘airline of the year’ in the 2003 Skytrax survey. The airline is also named ‘best airline — Asia’ and ‘best airline transpacific’ for the second year in a row. Skytrax Research, a UK-based consulting firm that conducted the worldwide survey between August 2002 and March 2003, received more than 4.4 million entries. Passengers were asked to give performance ratings for categories such as check-in services, airline lounges, boarding/departures, arrivals/transfer, cabin seating, cabin cleanliness, onboard catering, in-flight entertainment and cabin staff service.
