JEDDAH, 17 April 2005 — Prince Muhammad ibn Faisal, president of Al Hilal soccer club, suspended top striker Abdullah Al-Jamman for the rest of the season for indiscipline.

Al-Jamman, a member of the Saudi national team, has been put on the transfer list.

The decision to suspend Al-Jamman was reached on the basis of a report submitted by the technical committee and team officials, detailing Al-Jamman’s continuous refusal to join training and play in the team’s friendly matches.

“We took the decision after a long wait and failure to get Al-Jamman follow the team’s discipline. But apparently he didn’t heed to our advice. The club even tried in vain to help him solve his personal problems,” said Prince Muhammad.

Al-Jamman had also faced suspension during the tenure of four previous presidents of the club, said an official of the club.
