JEDDAH, 26 April 2005 — Western Union Money Transfer Company has promised to continue support in the promotion of the game of cricket and activities spearheaded by the Jeddah Cricket League.

An agreement to this effect was made between the Western Union Money Transfer Company and JCL at the Spenzer Restaurant on Madinah Road recently, according to Mohammad Iqbal, JCL’s official spokesperson and executive general secretary.

The special guest, Raman Nayar, Western Union’s diaspora manager for the Gulf & South Asia, had visited the new JCL cricket complex facilities and appreciated the JCL Executive Committee’s efforts in providing such excellent facilities for cricket lovers in the Kingdom. He promised his full support of JCL events where different communities get the chance to do networking.

Nayar exchanged documents of sponsorship with Mohammad Iqbal and other JCL Executive Committee members namely Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Ahsan Rafeh, Akhtar Hussain, Azizullah Shariff, Sayeed ul-Hassan, Naimullah Khan, Haroon Abdullah, Abu baker Bin Hussein and Sultan Mazharuddin, the media manager of a reputed media company. Nayar thanked JCL Excom members for arranging the meeting and visit to their facilities.
