LG Electronics Saudi Arabia, a world leader in electronics, has launched its latest innovation; the LG G Flex, claimed to be the world’s first curved flexing smartphone.

The introduction of this device in the Saudi market coincided with its launch on other key global markets.

The launch ceremony took place in Riyadh and was attended by invitees comprising professionals and media representatives.

Deuk Soo Ahn, president of LG Electronics Saudi Arabia, said: “With G Flex, LG has achieved a breakthrough in the smart phone technology, since the new innovative device is the first and only curved smartphone ever to follow the contour of the human face; a feature made possible with the implementation of the world’s first curved smartphone battery.”

Ahn added: “The new innovative device was designed with the global consumer’s requirements in mind. Therefore, we are confident that our new baby is well poised to meet the Saudi consumer’s aspiration for high-tech devices with unique features such as the LG G Flex.”

Leith Kim, director, LG Mobile Saudi Arabia, said: “The LG G Flex boasts several unique features such as a durable plastic OLED (P-OLED) HD display, a self-healing back cover that eliminates day-to-day scratches and more, hence earning LG’s latest smart phone significant praise and numerous accolades from major media worldwide.”

He added: “The LG G Flex will be available in Saudi Arabia through Mobily branches as well as all leading electronics retailers.”
