On Oct. 1, the Embassy of Japan in Saudi Arabia held a briefing session for SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corp.) Scholarship Program students about studies in its country.

The students were five high school fresh graduates who will be sent to Japan under SABIC scholarship soon.

The presentations on Japan consisted of 4 parts — basic information by Ando, head of political section; Saudi-Japan economic and industrial relationship, especially from the perspective of petroleum industry by Yazaki, energy attache; the experience of a former overseas student to Japan by Nessma, assistant to the embassy; and introduction to Japanese language by Ando, lecturer of Prince Sultan University.

The SABIC counterparts and students stated that they learnt a lot from the informative session, and the students felt their vocation, they are now excited for the approaching departure.

"The Embassy of Japan has been enthusiastic to support Saudi students who wish to study in Japan and it appreciates the SABIC’s cooperation and contribution to the relationship between the two countries, the embassy stated.
