A delegation from Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), led by its head of customer service Fahad Ibrahim Alzamil visited Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) head quarters as part of sharing expertise in the SAP international program for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

The visiting delegation met DEWA team, including Marwan Salem bin Haider, CIO and VP-IT, Ahmed Hasan, senior manager for metering services, and Obaid Al-Falasi, manager for tenders. They discussed on SAP international program and other IT related developments.

DEWA prioritizes the exchange of expertise and knowledge with differing regional and international utilities to learn about the latest updates and be the best on both an individual and an organizational level. This is one of the foundations of DEWA's achievements in its efforts to become a sustainable world-class utility.

During the visit, DEWA presented the project's stages of implementation, and discussed new account services as well as billing practices. The DEWA team highlighted the past 10 years' track record in operations, systems, improving employee capabilities and productivity levels. This project at DEWA aims to create an enduring model for utility services, not just in the region but equal the best global standards.

The presentation also highlighted that the system will not just standardize, integrate and automate, but will also enable DEWA to provide better services to its customers, employees and business partners by enabling end-to-end integration of business processes, providing standardization, flexibility and adaptability.
