Deccan Knights, Jawar Al Jazira record big wins in Ace League

Deccan Knights crushed Zinda Tilismat by 9 wickets, Jawar Al Jazira, cruised past Ace Travel by 8 wickets and Desert Warriors continued their unbeaten run routing Kanoo Travel by 48 runs in the 9th week matches of the Ace League Cricket sponsored by Ace Travel & Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association.
Zinda Tilismat batted first and managed 143 runs in its allotted overs with Javed scoring a quick 66 off 49 balls. He was well supported by Irfan (21) and Noor (21). Inayath (3 for 13), Ayaz (2 for 30) bowled well to contain them. In reply Deccan Knights knocked off the required runs to end at 144 for 1 with 7 overs to spare. Najeeb led with a quick fire 61 off 19 balls while Sohail scored an unbeaten 55 of 30 balls. Athar lent support scoring 22 0f 16 balls. Noor took the only wicket to fall.
Jawar Al Jazira defeated ACE Travel who were restricted to 127. Wajid was dismissed cheaply but Murtaza stood firm with a solid unbeaten 62 while Sajid (14), Faheem (13) and Naveed (12) gave good support. Adnan (2 for 26) and Zahid (1 for 27) pegged them down. In reply Jawar Al Jazira raced home to 128 for 2 with 6 overs in hand. Amir Sajjad scored an unbeaten 45, Sajid chipped in with a useful 30 and Asim with 20 off 7 balls.
In the other match, batting first, the Warriors piled up an impressive 200 runs with Omar (51) and Aleem (84) doing their best. They were supported by Quddus (20) and Kumar (20 n.o.). Zahid took 2 for 44 while Akbar and Imran took a wicket each. In reply Kanoo Travel started well with Haroon (27), Asghar (22) and Imran (18) but others did not contribute and they folded up for 152 runs. A Quddus ran through their batting with figures of 4 for 26 while Shah Jahan scalped 2 for 26.
Easy for Kanoo
In the eight-week matches, Deccan Knights scored a comfortable 21-run over AJ Blues.
In the other matches of the week, Kanoo Travel and Zinda Tilismat made easy work of Natco and Ace Travel beating them by 44 and 30 runs respectively.
Kanoo Travel scored 215 for 6 with Parvez Khan stroking a brisk 57, ably supported by Amer who got 53 runs. Kaleem chipped in with 23 and Haroon Abdullah 38. Usman picked up 2 for 47 while Humayun, Sadiq and Atta took a wicket each.
In reply Natco could only manage 171 for 8. Hussain top-scored with (57) runs. Humayun (33) and Atta (21), the rest caved in to the spin of Akbar (4for 25), Zahid (2 for 25) and Haroon (2 for 26) to give Kanoo Travel a win by 44 runs.
Zinda Tilismat batted first and raced to 198 for 2 with Irfan going great guns for his unbeaten 94 of 54 balls.
Others who gave him company were Javed (41) while Noor remained unbeaten with a polished (46) Wajid took 2 for 36 for Ace Travel who in reply were bundled out for 168 to give Zinda Tilismat a win by 30 runs. Sadat (42), Wajid (25), Sajjad 2(8) and Kamran (21) scored for Ace to give them a glimmer of hope but the others could not negotiate the bowling of Noor (3 for 28) and Abdullah (2 for 30) Deccan Knights electing to bat first were all out for 187 with Najeeb top scoring with a quick 46 while Afroz (21), Inayath (20) and Sohail (20) gave him company to ensure their team reaches a respectable total.
Nadeem 3 for 32, Ather 2 for 18, Shariq 2 for 35 and Fayaz 2 for 42 shared the wickets for AJ Blues who in reply gave a good fight but ultimately perished for 166 for 6 to win by 21 runs. Zubair (49), Atharullah (24), Arsalan (23) and Fayaz (21) batted well. Rabbani (2 for 29), Ather (2 for 27) and Abu Jabri along with Inayath picked up a wicket each.
