Emirates is boosting flights into Saudi Arabia and will offer 20 more flights each week from Feb. 2.
Riyadh goes from 17 to 28 flights a week, Jeddah jumps from 18 to 21 flights and Dammam has received an extra six services, becoming 13 flights a week.
There will continue to be a daily flight to Madinah.
The changes will take the airline’s KSA flights to 69 per week.
“Stepping up our presence in Saudi brings greater convenience to customers and more opportunities to enjoy the world-renowned Emirates’ experience,” said Adil Al-Ghaith, Emirates’ vice president, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
“This is not only good news for travelers, it’s also good news for business. Traveling executives have a wider variety of flights to choose from and importers and exporters can benefit from extra cargo capacity on the additional frequencies,” Al-Ghaith added.
Emirates serves four gateways in Saudi Arabia; Madinah, Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah, which is served by the airline’s Wi-Fi equipped, flagship aircraft, the A380.
“Emirates’ A380 is the perfect aircraft in periods of high demand — two levels and up to 527 seats. Saudi Arabia is becoming more and more prominent in our A380 operations,” said Al-Ghaith.
In addition to superb on-board service and an award winning in-flight entertainment system, Emirates offers a generous baggage allowance of 30 kg in Economy Class, 40 kg in Business Class and 50 kg in First Class.
Emirates was recently named Best Arab Airline 2012 in a poll organized by Sabq, the first online newspaper in Saudi.
The carrier, flying under its “Hello Tomorrow” banner, is an Official Partner and the Official Airline of the Zain Saudi Professional League.
