Engineers to share expertise on rotating equipment

The second annual technical exchange meeting of rotating equipment is being organized at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) on April 2 and April 3. During the two-day meeting, participating engineers will exchange knowledge and experience about rotating equipment.
Rotations Equipment Engineer Abdullah Balhaddad of Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) has appealed to all engineers to take part in the important event.
“Since Saudi Arabia has taken the lead in petrochemicals and oil and gas industries, it will be in the interest of all engineers working in this field,” he said.
According to him, rotating equipment are pumps, compressors, steam turbines, gear-boxes extruders centrifuges and motors.
“Engineers from all sectors such as operation and maintenance, design, EPCs, vendors and end-users can attend the conference,” he said.
Besides multinational companies, a team from Russia will participate in the conference to share their experience in the field of rotating equipment.
