The German consulate and King Abdulaziz University will present an exhibition on German Contemporary Architecture on the Arabian Peninsula on Tuesday.
The one-day exhibition will showcase energy efficient buildings, landscape architecture and lightweight structures. It will also highlight the cross-cultural exchange of knowledge between German schools of architecture and the special environment of the peninsula.
The main reason and idea behind this exhibition is to bring the two countries closer together, not only on a cultural level but also on the engineering and architectural level.
The opening ceremony will be initiated by a keynote lecture on energy efficient buildings and Green Architecture, by the renowned German architect, Thomas Lücking, who works in the Kingdom as General Manager for Gerber Architekten.
