MAKKAH: The first Haj flight will land in Saudi Arabia on Sept. 17, Hatim Qadi, undersecretary in the Ministry of Haj for the affairs of pilgrimage, announced.
Qadi, who is the ministry’s official spokesman, told the local daily Al-Madinah that 13 flights will be landing on that day at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah and seven at Prince Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz International Airport in Madinah. “All arrangements have been made to enable the guests of God to perform the Haj rites with ease, peace and comfort,” he said.
Qadi said the ministry has a special committee to receive and investigate complaints from pilgrims concerning any shortcoming in the implementation of the service being provided to them.
“The ministry is determined to provide consummate services to the pilgrims in compliance with the standing instructions of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and the crown prince,” he said.
Qadi said last year the ministry received about 400 complaints from the pilgrims hoping that the number of complaints would decrease this year.
