Makatifoods Pinbusters excel in OFBC Friday League

JEDDAH: Makatifoods Pinbusters became the first to repeat as Team of the Week with another solid display during the seventh session in the Overseas Filipino Bowlers Club (OFBC) Friday Afternoon League First Season 2012 at IN-10-SO lanes in Serafi Megamall here.
Makatifoods outscore everyone else on 26 points, crushing previous week honoree The Youngsters 18-2 on total pinfalls of 2,176 and 2,036 for rank points of 8 and 3.
The Pinbusters actually notched a Team of the Week and Bowler of the Week double courtesy of Alma Baylon who collared the individual award on the distaff side by shooting her division’s top score of 558 on scratch games of 179, 136 and 138.
Archie Alcantara and Farida de Guzman supported Baylon on 538 and 528, while team captain Vovstone added 155-145 and Christine Stone 187.
League leader Cool Guys returned the highest rank points of 10 after carding the session’s top total pinfalls of 2,280 in a 12-8 victory over Yanbu 4ever which tallied 2,180 pinfalls, 9 rank points and 17 total.
At the helm of Cool Guys, with total points of 22, was men’s Bowler of the Week Eidris Mangoda who rolled the high series of 551 on lines of 202, 178 and 166.
Med Ramos also enjoyed a good round at Cool Guys on 611 that went with the 519 by Salic Mudag and 499 by George Mangaliman.
Fed & AAA brought down The Transferee 12-8 on total pinfalls of 2,175-2,175 for rank points of 6.5 each and total of 18.5 and 14.5.
Rudy Valenzuela and skipper Khalid Bustinera led Fed & AAA on 570 and 551 with Fedelyn Bustinera on 542 and Jimmy Mandingiado 512.
Elsewhere, it was RJ Transient House 16 points and Current Bowlers 13 after their match ended 12-8 to RJ on total pinfalls of 2,143-2,171 for rank points of 4 and 5.
Lance & 3rdy and PCG-Jeddah battled to a 10-10 draw (1,994-1,975) for rank points of 2 and 1 and total of 12 and 11.
The trio of Rudy Jamon, Jack Jarin and Malou Nidoy paced RJ on 564, 545 and 517 in that order.
