Mandanas, Loquias power Pin Slasher past Petromin Express

Gerry Manadanas and Dariel Loquias carded 697 and 690 to lead Pin Slasher to a shutout victory over Petromin Express that put the defending champion back to the top of the overall standings after the 23rd session of FEDBG-FMBL 12th Conference at the Bowling City here.
Mandanas started off with 265 for Bulls and along with 235 and 233 from team captain Roger Daquioag and Loquias plus the 621 from Jay Bengco, Carling Constantino and May Lourdes, had Pin Slasher taking the first game 1354-1104 from the Hawks despite the 211 from Rey Beltran.
Paolo Allego and Jeff San Pedro revived Petromin with 221 and 208 for a 1087 that included contributions from Rolly Vistal, Jerry Carredo, Imelda Sayago and Beltran only to be more frustrated at 1184-1175 on another joint 213 and 229 forces of Mandanas and Loquias. With Beltran hitting 214 in a combined effort of 612 with Allego and Carredo, Mandanas, Loquias and Lourdes squarely matched them with 661 to complete Pin Slasher’s rout of Petromin Express at 3756-3394.
The Bulls won another Team of the Week honors and the 1218-1115 endgame victory and Mandanas garnered the Bowler of the Week award with his 697 from scratch of 673 (257, 205, 211). Beltran led Petromin with 613. Pin Slasher leads the league with computed points of 532 with Petromin sliding to second on 526.
In other matches, Ekis-3 fortified its No. 5 position with a 16-4 victory against Micah’s Pride, X-Alley humbled Ball Care Mongoose 18-2, Fire Fox beat Royal Strikers 16-4, and Pin Rockers walloped undermanned Fed Extreme 17-3. Unopposed D’ Mountaineers tallied 16 points.
Ekis won game 1 at 1091-1056 while Tigers rebounded in game 2 at 1126-1111. Computing seven marks disadvantage including third-game handicap, Micah’s ace Oca Bernabe blasted a 220 hoping to inspire teammates. But as other Tigers hardly met their averages Bacero and Sol Cuenca fired 200 and 236 for Ekis to slow Micah’s Pride at 3366-3212. Despite this setback Micah’s kept third post on 473.5 points while Ekis took fifth spot on 453.5 points.
Evelyn Santoc garnered the lady Bowler of the Week honors when she led her team with 616 handicap series which turned out instrumental for Lance & 3rdy in edging Shawly Bowlers in overall aggregate at 3493-3485.
Despite this Shawly Bowlers outpointed Lance & 3rdy at 11-9 with Arnel Digap leading on scratch at 632 from games of 235, 223 and 174. With help of skipper Arnel Bautista, Edison Arena, Sally Sañosa, Cloyd Opeña and Nestor Sañosa Shawly Bowlers swept the scratch sets at 3128-2941. Backed up by Ver Jasa (591) and Rene Punzalan (590), Evelyn posted games of 240, 201 and 175.
