The contribution of women leaders to the growing economy and how they are inspiring the next generation of women to aspire and acquire international senior leadership positions came under the spotlight at the 18th Global Women Leaders Conference on Sunday.

In her keynote address, Fawzia Hassan Gharib, assistant undersecretary for the educational operations at the UAE ministry of education, shared with the audience her experiences and life journey. She focused on how she inspired young women leaders to take a strong stance to achieve their goals and be able to lead the nation to the global forefront.

Haniyeh Yousofpour, assistant professor from Canadian University at Dubai, shed light on the global leadership criteria and women leaders' empowerment in international positions. In her capacity as a knowledge provider, she elaborated on the various training and coaching programs that would better position the next generation of women leaders to know and understand the world organizations and prepare their future road map.

She also elaborated on global criteria and skills required to attain those positions.

Two case studies from Emirates Digital Association for Women were presented. The CEO of EDAW, Manar Abu Talib, and the President, Shayma Alkobaisi, explained their experiences and journeys as senior leaders and shared the valuable lessons they learned while climbing the corporate ladder to the top positions.
