Saudi-Singaporean Business Council will meet in Riyadh today.
Singaporean delegation will be led by Minister of Commerce and Industry Lee Yee Sheen and the Saudi team will be headed by Abdullah Al-Mobty, chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers. The meeting will be held at the headquarters of the council.
Representatives from companies from the Kingdom as well as from Singapore will participate in the discussions.
According to the chairman of Saudi-Singapore Business Council Abdullah Al-Melaih, the meeting aims at promoting business cooperation between the two countries and further exploring new areas of cooperation in the field of investment. It will also provide a good platform for both businessmen to resolve the challenges confronted by the two countries in dealing with each other.
The meeting is also expected to raise issues relating to the Kingdom’s strategic directions in fields such as technical education and training of Saudi youths, both males and females.
Al-Melaih added that the meeting will also touch upon the role of joint council in developing economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Singapore to explore ways of activating it in light of the tangible results it has managed to achieve during the past. It will also study the initiative to open a direct air route between Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
