A bilateral agreement between Saudi Arabia and Philippine will be signed next month during a visit to the Kingdom by the Philippine’s Minister of Labor, according to Mufarij Al-Haqbani, deputy Minister of Labor.
The agreement will regulate the housemaids recruitment system. It also requires Manila to provide skilled housemaids. It will be be valid for five years.
The agreement will be the first of its kind between the Saudi ministry and a country that sends housemaids to the Kingdom. In addition, a delegation from Phillippine visited the Kingdom last week to further discuss details.
