Welfare trust opens branch in Dubai

The Khak-e-Taiba Trust (KTT) held a function recently in Jeddah to announce the launch of its another chapter in Dubai under the charge of Ashfaq Hussein. The trust took the occasion to honor a senior journalist, Mohammed Asif from India who is currently visiting Jeddah.
Shameem Kausar, the overseas patron of KTT, announced the launch of the Dubai branch and announced the name of Hussein as its president.
“We want to spread KTT initiatives in the entire region and hope that the mission of KTT to spread education, vocational skills and unity will continue,” he said.
In his speech, the trust president, Aijaz Ahmed Khan, briefly introduced the initiatives, undertaken by KTT in India and Jeddah. The trust in India, he explained, has established several ladies tailoring centers that help women live while learning independently.
“The tailoring centers in Hyderabad provide 3- to 4-month training programs and provide trainees with sewing machines upon completion,” he said.
Khan emphasized on the importance of education and vocational skills, and gave details of the computer centers that KTT runs in Jeddah for youth to learn employment skills.
“In Jeddah, KTT computer centers equip more than 17,000 youth with job skills,” he said.
Earlier, the trust general secretary, Syed Vaqarudeen, welcomed guests and introduced about the aims and objectives of the Khak-e-Tayyiba Trust.
Asif Ali meanwhile visited the computer centers with Khan and Vaqarudeen.
Those who spoke on the occasion included Dr. Sayed Ali Mahmood who emphasized unity and said that expatriates always offer help where needed.
Aleem Khan Falki shed light on the social issues and underlined the need for greater efforts in solving those issues.
The Dubai in-charge of KKT, Ashfaq Hussein highlighted to role being played by KTT and their commitment toward social responsibility.
“It is only through proper planning that we will attain success in problem-solving,” he said.
