With the first phase of construction works on the Haramain train project set to commence, the overpass at the Haramain road and the Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Street intersection will be closed off from tomorrow, a local newspaper reported.
According to the technical team, it is expected that the new bridge, which will constructed at the same location, will open to traffic in November barring any complications in the process.
The bridge is 141 meters long, 30 meters wide and 7.5 meters high, with five slopes for vehicles.
Sources have said that the Briman Bridge will fully be opened to traffic from its east side to west and vice versa in three months. “It is being completed in record time,” said the sources.
