Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, is all set to launch its “highly anticipated” Galaxy S4, the latest handset in its smartphone range from the Galaxy family.
It has kicked off an extensive campaign under the slogan “Worth the Wait” to mark the launch of the device in the Saudi market on Saturday (April 27).
“Rumors and leaked photos of the new device have been circulating on the Internet for months now, with tech bloggers and enthusiasts speculating its new features compared to the precedent Galaxy S3,” the company stated.
The Galaxy S4 promises to be “another impressive high-end” smartphone from Samsung; indeed, it is the first phone to feature Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for higher screen protection and is reportedly introducing unique eye-scrolling software that will track where users are looking and scroll the text automatically.
All under the new Jelly Bean OS 4.2.2 version, and powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 5 processor, the new smartphone is now thinner and lighter than S3 as it comes with a 5” Full HD Super AMOLED screen (441 ppi) weighing only 130 g.
Boasting a Dual Camera function, the Dual Video Call function enables user to make and receive a video call while showing what he's looking at during the call. Its 13 mega pixel rear camera and 2 mega pixel front camera “exceed expectations too.”
The “hugely popular” predecessor Galaxy S3 released last year hit a record 40 million sales mark while the entire Galaxy S series line up, including Galaxy S, S2 and S3, have collectively sold over 100 million devices globally.
