Call to diversify job trends among Saudi youth

The InterContinental Hotels Group’s I Grad program is being described as a great tool to attract young fresh talent, who are nearing their graduation, for careers in the hospitality and tourism industry.
“As we look ahead to the promising future, we need to understand the need to diversify the job trend among the youth of Saudi Arabia,” said a senior executive.
The I Grad program is basically an 18-month training program which gives the opportunity for these individuals to understand the diverse working environment of a five-star hotel and make their own choice as to what field they would like to specialize in.
InterContinental Riyadh hotel and Palaces are at the forefront of the I Grad program in Riyadh.
A presentation was held recently at the institute for around 60 to 70 students, who also had the opportunity to later ask questions from the presenters.
Interested students then registered for the program and potential candidates will be interviewed and selected for the positions.
Among the presenters were Yahya Bawardi.
A successful management trainee at the InterContinental Riyadh himself Yahya was able to share his experience first hand with the students.
Jai Sudhan Sanjeevan, organization and development manager at InterContinental Riyadh, spoke on how IHG is on the road to become one of the great companies of the world and Hatem Al-Hamdan shared his insight as a HR manager and encouraged everyone to sign up for this program.
Imran Saleem, the Saudi Palaces’ director of talent, who was accompanied by his team also contributed enormously to the presentation.
