Al-Faisal University honors 139 graduates

Al-Faisal University honored Wednesday 139 students including 26 men and 29 women students with master of business administration (MBA) degrees, 17 men and eight women with undergraduate business qualifications and 25 graduates from the college of engineering.
Riyadh Gov. Prince Khaled bin Bandar attended the university’s graduation ceremony at the Princess Haya bint Turki auditorium.
Also present at the event were Prince Turki bin Abdullah, deputy governor of Riyadh, and Prince Turki Al-Faisal, vice chairman of the Board of Trustees.
During the opening ceremony, Prince Khaled said “a renaissance” in education was taking place in the Kingdom under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and Crown Prince Salman.
“It is an honor to be here among the elite academics and employees of the university who have shown such scientific excellence. This young university has added a distinguished educational organization to the city of Riyadh,” he said.
He thanked the “graduates and all their supportive parents and families.” He said the university “was an ambitious project a year ago, and now, before us today, it is celebrating the graduation of its students, which couldn’t happen without the leadership, support and determination of the university management.”
He said that the expansion of the Kingdom’s universities, the diversity of disciplines and international scholarships are all linked to labor market needs in the Kingdom.
“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Prince Khaled Al-Faisal on this great achievement and I send my praises to his brothers, sisters and employees of the university,” he said.
Faisal bin Abdulaziz Almubarak, the university’s chief academic officer, said: “Al-Faisal has launched more academic programs at the undergraduate and master’s levels after a thorough analysis of global education courses and the labor market requirements in the Kingdom.”
He said that the College of Business Administration, in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in America, launched the executive education program to provide the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) training courses. The university plans to launch 20 similar training programs next year.
Naqi Haider Rizvi, a blind student who was the top performer in engineering, said his disability has not prevented him from working hard and getting ready for the “difficult labor market.”
