Sheikh Nahayan bin Mubarak Al-Nahayan, the UAE minister of culture, youth and community development, honored Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) with Forbes Middle East Award at a recent event in Abu Dhabi.
The award is in recognition of Mobily’s distinctive success in implementing an innovative vision to ensure its continuous financial growth.
Karl Michael Henneking, Mobily’s chief corporate strategy and marketing officer, received the honorary shield on behalf of Mobily in the presence of officials, leaders and decision-makers from various sectors and industries in the Arab world.
Henneking said Mobily’s recognition as one of the most successful Arab companies emphasizes the company’s efforts to have an innovative vision to maintain sustainable financial growth.
Mobily previously announced its financial results for the year 2012 with a net profit of SR 6,018 million compared to SR 5,081 million for the year 2011 with 18 percent increase (SR 1,879 million for the fourth quarter compared to SR 1,697 million for the same quarter of the previous year with 11 percent increase, and SR 1,511 million for the previous quarter with 24 percent increase).
The company’s revenue registered 18 percent increase to SR 23,642 million compared to SR 20,052 million for 2011.
