Advanced syllabi for kindergarteners

The Ministry of Education will adopt new syllabus for kindergarten schools across the Kingdom.
The new curricula will be implemented starting the next new academic year. It will contain the important values of life, and other basic skills of learning and living.
The move comes in line with the ministry’s national strategic plan for pre-school learning. The plan involves the development of a database of the numbers of children at preschool levels.
King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Project for Development of Public Education has sign agreements during the current academic year with three institutions specializing in the development of pre-school syllabi.
The experience will be subjected to evaluation and assessment to produce a successful curricula that will absorb 50 percent of the number of children. In addition to focusing on childhood issues and capabilities, the curricula will concentrate on building the abilities of teachers, supervisors and principals of pre-school levels. The private sector will also join in the process.
The Ministry of Education has announced that vacancies are available for special-education teachers wishing to apply for jobs at Prince Sultan Center for Support Services of Special Education.
