Fed X Ally ends losing streak to regain lead in OFBC event

Fed X Ally rounded back to form, winning Team of the Week and men’s Bowler of the Week double and regaining the lead after the eighth session in the OFBC Friday Morning League Season 1 at the Ice Land Bowling Center.
Fed X ended its two-match losing streak in a big way with a 20-0 shutout of Flexibowl on total pinfalls of 2,732-2,664, rank points of 9-5 and total win points of 29-5.
The team Fed X regained the lead from, D’ Mountaineers, did little to help their own cause as they were at the short end of a 16-4 verdict against Lance & Thirdy on total pinfalls of 2,802-2,663.
Counting the top rank points of 10 Lance totaled 26 on the day in a tie with D’ Cyclone which posted the other shutout win against Nomac on total pinfalls of 2,679-2,451 and rank points of 6-1.
The Luf’s Strikers brought down Mixed Shots 12-8 (2,695-2,727 7-8 19-16) and Jandel’s Pride scuttled Pairs and Spares 14-6 (2,658-2,535 3-2 17-8) in the other matches during the penultimate week of first round eliminations in the tournament organized by Overseas Filipino Bowlers Club Western Region.
Team captain Khalid Bustinera led by example at Fed X when he won his second Bowler of the Week award after shooting the high series of 606 on scratch lines of 135, 207 and 192. Cesar Monares and Fedelyn Bustinera had matching cards of 557s with Ed Cordova on 496, while Bonie Garcia made 163-156 and Ally Bin 157 for Fed X.
Lance & Thirdy used a six-man rotation, led by team captain Ric Reformado on 578. Elo Manalo and Evelyn Santoc followed on 595 and 568 while Igna Salgado, Jun de Dios and Eidris Mangoda each carded two games of 159-167, 150-148 and 179-146 in that order.
In a battle of bottom teams D’ Cyclone won in style against the Nomac thanks mainly to the duo of Tom Langa and Fatima Jintarat who rolled 584 and 562 that went with the 472 by Abdul Fatah Mogawan, 138-179 by Roland Barateta, 188-136 by Jack Jarin and 137-123 by Thong Mujeed Langa.
Luf’s had the trio of Aileen Miralbuna, Ronnie de Castor and Jay Bengco hitting full games of 539, 529 and 520, while Ruel Santoc added 153-191, Edu Toledo 157-163 and Caloy Nuguit 168-163.
From the ranks of Jandel’s Pride emerged the ladies Bowler of the Week in Jana Delia Felesmina who bested everyone in her division with a 597. Team captain Bob Stone tallied 545, Archie Alcantara had 533, Fred Cuenca added 514 and Usman de Guzman had 469.
