  • Pilgrim care remains a top priority, says Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel

MAKKAH: Saudi Arabia’s Health Minister Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel has completed a two-day inspection of facilities in Makkah in preparation for the upcoming Hajj season.

The visit reflects the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to ensure high-quality and comprehensive services for pilgrims, in line with the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030, the ministry stated in a recent press release.

The tour included visits to central-area facilities, including the Ajyad and Al-Jiwar hospitals in the holy city, as well as the Command and Control Center at the General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.

In addition, the minister reviewed the preparedness of private ambulance service providers for the Hajj.

AlJalajel also visited the King Faisal, Makkah General, King Abdulaziz, and Al-Noor Specialist hospitals. And the King Abdullah Medical City, one of the Kingdom’s leading referral centers for specialized care.

During the visits, he reviewed the operational readiness of emergency and intensive care units, response plans for critical cases, and coordination mechanisms between health and ambulance services.
