A fire broke out at a warehouse in the Al-Khaleel area yesterday which soon spread to two adjoining warehouses before the blaze was brought under control by the Civil Defense Department.
Capt. Abdul Rahman Suhaimi, spokesman for Madinah Civil Defense Department, said: "The fire started at 6:49 a.m. We immediately dispatched seven fire-fighting teams, two rescue teams and one paramedical team to the location. It was found that three warehouses were on fire.
“The first warehouse contained electrical goods and parts while the other two stored carpentry and upholstery material. The fire was extinguished and investigation is on to determine the cause of fire."
