Unstoppable Zezo won back-to-back Best Team of the Week awards while the veteran Andro Tismo displayed his bowling prowess to capture the Best Bowler of the Week accolade during the June 21 matches of the Al Rabie-IBG Friday Afternoon Bowling League 3rd Conference at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC) here.
The league organized by Itqan Bowlers Group (IBG) through IBG Advocate Ian Choco is solely sponsored by Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd. Also supporting the league is Thales represented by its official, Nelson de Vera.
Zezo produced total team output of 4,108 and collected 23 points to dismantle My Girl team which returned total team output of 4,044 and 16 points.
At the forefront of Zezo squad was the one-time perfect 300 game holder Fhel Ramos who fired 872 on lines of 213, 257, 192 and 210. Ramos was supported by the troika of Jojo Miraflor (839), Cas Encila (833) and hard-hitting Jess Ambon (820). Boy Mirando added 744 points.
Posting the best score in My Girl was the fast rising Archie Oliva, who rolled 851 on games of 167, 201 212 and 215.
Next to Oliva were Larry Mondoy (840), Leo Mabunga (821), Edgar Buenaventura (803) and Joel Lambo (729).
With the top individual performer Tismo at the helm Thales whipped Saudi Oger 21-15.
Tismo owned the day’s high series of 943 on games of 241, 225, 247 and 230. Jau Urbano burned the lanes to follow Tismo on 801.
Jobert Pomado, Rodel Maranca and Bembol Velasco tossed in separate series of 633, 563 and 554. Ismael Viloria, the youngest bowler in the fold at 13, had 389 in two games while Dennis Gabriel submitted 204.
On lanes 11 and 12, Roll and Bowl upset the heavy favorite NBA 21-13 thanks to the good games of Jove Marano 859 (214, 203, 216 and 226), Ernie Tulang (794), Andy Carasig (791), durable Fred Dioquino (755) and graceful Rina Labo (744)
Heavyweight Bandar Al-Marshad unleashed his deadly form pace NBA with 821.
Next to Bandar was Joe Garrido with 772 points. Mike Ecalnir contributed 765 and Nelson de Vera 758.
Southpaw Ronald Bautista and experienced Edwin Atienza added separate series of 456 and 345 in two games.
In another match, Dabarkads stopped ABB JeX 21-10.
The leading scorers in Dabarkads were Obet Miranda (814), Ruel Pingol (818) and Ramil Glorioso (817).
Atoi Ramos led ABB Jex by posting a four-game series of 852 followed by Veo Adina (754), Mel Solas (732) and Louie Laguardia (719).
