Castrol launched its most recent interactive activation campaign focused on the importance of choosing the right and most fitting engine oil for cars.
The activity has been successful in educating the public on the importance of protecting the engine from harmful sludge that is considered to be the biggest threat to an engine’s life.
The one-month campaign took place in both Jeddah and Riyadh, with a target audience of both puncture shops’ staff and consumers, and the goal of highlighting the importance of choosing high quality trusted oil to protect a car’s engine.
In the creative and interactive campaign set-up, Castrol specialized team members were successful in defining the importance of choosing the best type of car engine oil, detailing the techniques against engine sludge that leads to a reduction in a car’s engine efficiency.
The campaign was centered on a Castrol Ambulance Road Show, carrying an injured engine awaiting to be diagnosed and cured, with nothing else but an IV fluid of GTX.
The Ambulance car visited different puncture shops and malls around Jeddah and Riyadh, where a team of specialized Castrol members would carry down the engine on a stretcher and educate the attendees on the dangers of using the wrong type of car engine oil that leads to engine sludge or “cholesterol”.
Haitham Badaoui, managing director, commented about the campaign “The goal of this interactive campaign is to add on to the knowledge of puncture shop mechanics and consumers. It highlights the importance of choosing the right type of engine oil for cars. Additionally, Castrol GTX is considered to be the most efficient solution to getting rid of car engine cholesterol and protection from sludge. This eventually affects an engine’s performance and gradual life”.
The campaign stressed on the importance of choosing the right type of car engine oil for protection from accumulated engine sludge and for prolonging its life.
