In his letter, “Terror attacks and blame game” (July 23), Safi H. Jannaty declared all Pakistani viewpoints on Mumbai terror “childish. He has in fact made a childish mistake that he didn’t even mention about other cases that were blamed on Pakistan but were originally planned and executed by his own Indian military and government. I guess our friend own all those attacks, but wouldn’t like to agree with us on Mumbai attacks or maybe he want to divert the talk from India’s involvement in these attacks toward the identity of Ajmal Qasab.
Mumbai attack was just a drama staged by the Indian government, military and intelligence agencies. They tried to copy/remake the Hollywood 9/11 in a Bollywood 26/11 style but flopped badly.
The sooner India comes out of this propaganda against Pakistan, the better it is for it.
Arundhati Roy wrote in The Guardian, “November isn’t Sept. 2008, isn’t 2001, Pakistan isn’t Afghanistan and India isn’t America. So perhaps we should reclaim our tragedy and pick through the debris with our own brains and our own broken hearts so that we can arrive at our own conclusions.” — Atiq Durrani, by e-mail
