The Civil Defense department in Al-Baha took emergency measures after recent heavy rains hit the area and flooded valleys, causing property damage.
Director of the Civil Defense, Brig. Gen. Ali bin Abdullah Al-Sawwat, said rescue operations were under the direct supervision of Al-Baha Gov. Prince Mishari bin Saud.
Committees followed up on field teams and the situation of affected citizens and file their reports with the governor. The committee offered services to those affected and assessed damages to their houses to ensure their speedy return.
Al-Sawwat said 22 families benefited from financial aid and were offered housing after rains hit the Qalwa governorate in the past few days. Affected families were provided with food and shelter, as well as other services.
