It is sad to learn that former US President George W. Bush has undergone heart surgery to unblock an artery in his heart, which was detected during a stress test. We wish him a speedy recovery. Since he is now out of power the world need not fear any more wars!
The former Vice President of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, too has undergone heart transplant and has a long history of cardiovascular trouble. The identity of the donor of the heart to Cheney was never made public.
Cheney once said, “I have worked for four presidents and watched two others up close, and I know that there is no such thing as a routine day in the Oval Office.”
He is absolutely right and we believe, the easiest of all the presidents he worked for was George W. Bush, because, practically, Dick Cheney ran the show, while the president remained just a figurehead.
Even Tony Blair despite being a non-American had his fair share influence on Bush! Anyway all that is history now, while the “two heart cases” are out of power. — S.H. Moulana, Riyadh
