Philippine ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ezzedin Tago said over 20,000 Filipino nationals have corrected their residency status during the grace period. He called on those of the Filipino community who needed correction to benefit from the remaining days of the amnesty period which will end in less than two months from now.
“The embassy has completed the procedures of 3,000 nationals who were unable to correct their status. They were sent home at the expense of the government,” he said. Another 2,000 are awaiting the correction process owing to delays related to passports, photos, and so on.
