Rizwan, Shaharyar, Muzammil star in IDB cricket

JEDDAH: Islamic Development Bank – Orange (OC) got the better of IDB-Yellow (CS) by 6 wickets in their Intra Bank Cricket Tournament, organized by the IDB’s Social and Cultural Forun (SOCOM) at the bank’s Green Lawn ground at its premises, recently.
Put in to bat the winners put up 80 runs. Captain Saddiq Zafar led from the front and top-scored with 22 runs.
In reply, IDB-Yellow replied with 78 in their stipulated overs. Ishtiaq was the highest scorer with 16 runs.
Javed Khan, Ishtiaq, Aimur, Ali Khan bagged one wicket each.
In another match, IDB-White (Finance) batted first scored 83 runs in its stipulated overs and won the match with 6 wickets against IDB-Red.
Zaid Omar was the highest scorer with 22 runs followed by Shahzad Jonjoa’s 12.
Zaid Omar, Azam, Hamza bagged 1 wicket each. In reply, IDB-Red scored 79 runs. Karim 13 and Asif Mahmoud score 12 runs.
In the last match IDB-Green showed their sporting spirit and played in professional way. Rizwan scored a quick-fire 59 runs and registered the win on board against IDB-Blue (IT).
Najeeb gave him support with 25 runs. Mukhtar bagged 5 wickets in his 2 overs, he declared Man of the Match.
However, IDB-Blue (IT) gave a spirited reply, but fell short by 11 runs. Shaharyar Javid 34, Muzammil 14 and Ameen 7 runs. Misbah 2 and Muzammil got one wicket.
