Savola shares success story with Pakistan Executive Group

Abdulraouf M. Mannaa, MD and CEO of the Savola Group, shared the group’s success story with Pakistan Executive Group (PEG) in Jeddah recently.
Mannaa divided his presentation on the Savola success story into financials, values and ethical culture inculcated in the group.
The success story covered how challenging was the inception of Savola in 1979 launched with 50 employees and a meager capital competing against a world-class company with a world-class product. But, with the guidance of Almighty Allah and due to the visionary leadership of its founder, Hamza Bogary, and former Chairman of Savola’s Board of Directors Adel Fakeih, the company grew exponentially and now has a capital of over SR5.3 billion with around 20,000 employees.
Mannaa stated that the amazing growth is attributed to Savola's focus on values and ethics based on the basic Islamic principles of amanah, taqwa, birr, mujahadah and taw ado, and the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of providing the Makeen Center for training and employing persons of special needs, participation in Injaz programs and being the pioneers in employing local female work force.
Mannaa added that Savola is nominated as No. 1 company in the foods industry in the Arab world by Forbes, received the CEO excellence award by the Middle East Excellence Awards Institute in 2013 and recognized as No. 1 Saudi Corporate in transparency and corporate governance by S&P and Hawkamah Institute.
Pakistan Consul General Aftab Ahmed Khokher appreciated the success story of the Savola Group and invited Mannaa to consider investing in Pakistan and assured him that the commercial section of Pakistan Consulate General would extend its full cooperation to the group in identifying the appropriate investment opportunities in Pakistan.
PEG President Mutahir Rizvi presented the organization’s shield to Mannaa.
