HYDERABAD: An FIR has been launched against Bollywood star and “Bigg Boss 7” host Salman Khan and the management of Colors studios at Hyderabad’s Faluknuma Police Station for allegedly insulting Muslim sentiments on the popular show.
High court advocate M.A. Qavi Abbasi, complainant Mohammad Fasiuddin Ayaan and other Muslim leaders alleged that the religious sentiments of Muslims had been hurt by screening “Heaven and Hell” in the popular reality show, ndtv.com reported.
The reality show has been mired in controversy for several weeks. Earlier this week, contestant Armaan Kohli was arrested for allegedly assaulting British singer-actress Sofia Hayat inside the Bigg Boss house. He was allowed to return to the house after completing legal formalities, in a highly-criticized move by the show producers.
The show, hosted by Khan for the past three seasons, throws together celebrities in a secluded house with over 80 well-placed cameras monitoring their every move. Season 7 of the show went on air on Colors on Sept. 15.
