Jones Lang LaSalle appoints new country head for Kingdom

Jones Lang LaSalle, the world's major real estate investment and advisory firm, has announced the appointment of Jamil Ghaznawi as its new national director and country head for Saudi Arabia.
Ghaznawi joins JLL MENA from Ewaan Global Residential Company where he has served as director of strategy and business development in Jeddah. Before joining Ewaan, he was CEO of Shada Homes.
Previously, he worked as an investment manager with Sidra Capital, during which time he participated in the valuation of companies and conducted feasibility studies for real estate development projects, and as an accountant and auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers for three years in the Kingdom.
Ghaznawi holds a BSc in Business Administration from the American Intercontinental University in Los Angeles and a MSc in accountancy from California State University Fullerton. Ghaznawi is a certified public accountant (CPA) from the state of California.
Commenting on Ghaznawi’s appointment, Alan Robertson, CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle in MENA, said: “Jamil has first class knowledge of all the key geographies and locations in the Kingdom along with extensive connections in the real estate sector. We expect the strong growth of our business to continue in 2014 and beyond, and Jamil’s leadership and business management experience will be invaluable in helping Jones Lang LaSalle expand our offering in Saudi Arabia.”
Ghaznawi said: “I am excited to join Jones Lang LaSalle, the leader in real estate investment and advisory firm in the region and globally. I am looking forward to working with our team to take our business to the next level in Saudi Arabia’s growing market.”
Ghaznawi takes over from John Harris, who has left Jones Lang LaSalle to join a client organization in Dubai.
