‘Sadaya’ organizes cultural show

Keralite employees from the Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) Company participated at a cultural show, which was organized by “Sadaya”, a Jeddah-base South Indian group.
Dr. Zeenath Ashraf, a gynecologist, opened the event and commended the organization’s efforts to alleviate the plight of the poor people in Kerala by extending a helping hand.
Ashraf said, “Sadaya is trying to wipe the tears of others through its Najda program by giving monthly grants to 10 poor families in Kerala.”
The organization gave a wheelchair and a cash donation to Jeeva Life Care Foundation based in Kannoor.
An educational session on parenting following the methodology of Japanese “5S” was conducted by ALJ’s master facilitator Saifudheen.
Sumayya Mohamed Karatu rendered her poem, highlighting the beauty of the Indian composite culture.
A satirical skit was performed by budding actors, which was appreciated by the audience.
Children demonstrated their artistic talents and creativity in the painting competition.
In the “senior” segment, Megha Thomson and Noble Thomas bagged the first and second prizes, while in the “junior” Naseef Firoz won the first prize.
Manu Thomson and Liana Ashiq got second and third prizes.
Hanna Abdussamad and Nawaf Firoz won the first and the second prizes in the “sub-junior” session.
Madeeha Abdul Shukoor and Nidhiya Thomas received appreciation in the “kids” section.
A number of stage shows including oppana, solo dance, group dance, mono-act for kids and family games for adults were also held at the event.
