King Abdullah International Center for the Service of Arabic Language (KAICSAL) launched the “Arabic Haj and Umrah” program recently, which aimed at enabling pilgrims to use the Arabic language properly.
According to an official, the center aims to revive pilgrims’ interest in the rich language, apart from trenching leadership in activities and programs for celebrating the “World Arabic Language Day”.
UN General Assembly has designated Arabic as its sixth official language.
According to the center, the project is under implementation locally and globally, and will be executed in several phases.
The center is also working on an integrated program on the use of Arabic by youth in modern social media.
This will bring together university students and professors to discuss the visions of youth on the subject.
