Jeddah Mayor Hani Abu Ras conducted an inspection tour of various overpass and underpass projects currently underway in Jeddah on Saturday.
Abu Ras, who noted the progress achieved by each project, first visited the site where an overpass is being built at the intersection between Bani Malik and Prince Majed roads.
The project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months at a total cost of SR92 million. The new overpass is expected to ease traffic at the intersection between Palestine street and Prince Majed street, besides linking districts east and west of the intersection.
This bridge is one of many projects aimed at ensuring smooth traffic flow on Prince Majed Road from King Abdulaziz International Airport until the road between Leith and Jazan.
The mayor also inspected the Palestine Road intersection with Prince Miteb and Dallah streets, the Madinah Road intersection with the Halimah Al-Saadiah Street, the bicycle roundabout, the industrial institute intersection with King Fahd Road and the Heraa intersection with Sitteen Street.
